Last summer, I spent a few days walking along the Wales Coast Path. I was following an ancient pilgrimage route, in the only country in the world with a footpath showcasing all of its seafront terrain — a country where walking also happens to play a significant role in the economy. Delighted to read this piece in en-route. As a displaced Welsh/English expat in Ottawa I am excited to be spending the summer back ‘home’ for the first time in ten years. Snippets of this trail and the South West Coastal Path are both on my agenda as I get to become a tourist in my own region. Thank you for making me excited about my own upcoming adventures.
