In April 2013, in the wake of a series of suicides at Missouri high schools, Mark Norwine, a bullying prevention coordinator at a non-profit called CHADS Coalition for Mental Health, walked across the state on the Katy Trail. Norwine, who has bipolar disorder, was accompanied by his son Eric, who has also been diagnosed with the condition. Mark walked from town to town, giving presentations about bullying, mental health and suicide at schools along the way. A film crew also joined them, and the result is director Josh Salzberg’s Walking Man. Now in the late stages of production, the compelling, powerful documentary is destined for a festival or screen near you.
